Rohit Sharma's Asia Cup Performance

Rohit Sharma, the Indian skipper, has had a productive year, participating in nine ODIs and amassing 383 runs, including a century and two fifties, with an average of 47.87. In the context of the Asia Cup, Rohit has already scored 745 runs in 22 matches, making him one of the tournament's leading run-scorers. He is second only to Sachin Tendulkar, who achieved an impressive 971 runs in the tournament between 1990 and 2012.

Virat Kohli's Return

Virat Kohli, returning to the ODI format after over nine years, is within striking distance of an enviable record. His 613 runs in 11 Asia Cup games place him close to surpassing former India captain MS Dhoni's total. A mere 36 runs would propel Kohli to third place among India's leading run-scorers in the continental competition.
