The Indian Air Force (IAF) is set to embark on a significant training exercise dubbed 'Trishul.' Spanning from September 4 to 14, this exercise will unfold in the northern sector of India, specifically along the borders shared with China and Pakistan. This strategic training operation is taking place concurrently with the G-20 Summit, scheduled for September 9 and 10 in New Delhi.
The 'Trishul' exercise is designed to be extensive, covering various regions in the northern sector. These encompass Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Punjab. To ensure the exercise's effectiveness, the IAF is deploying its most formidable assets, including the Rafale, Mirage 2000, and Su-30MKI fighter aircraft.

In addition to the array of fighter jets, the exercise will incorporate a diverse fleet of heavy-lift transport aircraft and helicopters, including the Chinooks and Apaches. These helicopters play vital roles in troop movement and logistics. The Garud Special Forces, an elite unit within the IAF, will also actively participate in the drills, showcasing their exceptional skills and capabilities.
This comprehensive training exercise underscores the IAF's commitment to maintaining readiness along its northern borders. With the participation of cutting-edge aircraft, transport assets, and elite forces, 'Trishul' demonstrates India's dedication to ensuring security and preparedness in a strategically significant region.
