Opening new avenues

Uttar Pradesh is set to host its first-ever international trade show from September 21 to 25 at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida. This momentous event, to be inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu, promises to showcase the state's potential on a global stage. Seventeen government departments have received approval to set up stalls at the exhibition, highlighting a diverse array of offerings.

The trade show, spanning an impressive 2,088 square meters, will bring together international buyers from over 400 entities. These overseas participants will not only engage with the exhibition but also explore avenues to promote Uttar Pradesh's products internationally. This signifies a significant opportunity for the state to gain global recognition.

Showcasing Uttar Pradesh's best

One of the focal points of the exhibition is the "One District One Product" (ODOP) program, a flagship initiative aimed at promoting indigenous and specialized products. The largest stall, covering an area of 300 square meters, will be dedicated to ODOP. It will showcase a diverse range of special and unique products from all districts of Uttar Pradesh. This platform offers local artisans and entrepreneurs a chance to shine and find a broader market.

The trade show will encompass a wide spectrum of government departments and sectors. A 200-square-meter stall dedicated to tourism and the culture department will enlighten visitors about the schemes and policies related to Uttar Pradesh's tourism industry. Additionally, there will be stalls representing departments such as Namami Gange, water supply, energy, and non-conventional energy. The event will also feature exhibitions focused on housing and urban planning, horticulture and food processing, livestock and milk development, and the fisheries sector.
