In another unfortunate incident of theft at a secured factory, burglars managed to abscond with ₹6 lakh in cash and copper wires from an Industrial Area, Phase 2, factory on a Sunday night. Before fleeing the scene, the culprits also seized the DVR of the CCTV cameras on the premises in an attempt to hinder any potential police investigation.
Maman Chand, a resident of Sector 7, Panchkula, reported the incident to the police. He had secured his factory, RK Enterprises, around 9.30 pm that evening before returning home. A mere 45 minutes later, he received an alarming call from a worker who informed him that the lock on the small door of the factory's main shutter had been tampered with. Chand hurried back to the factory and confirmed that a theft had indeed occurred. Alongside the stolen copper wires, the thieves had ransacked his table drawers, making off with ₹6 lakh in cash.
