A heart-wrenching incident occurred in Zirakpur when a 37-year-old motorcyclist, Mohammed Farkan, lost his life while trying to avoid colliding with a stray bull. The accident, involving a Haryana Roadways bus, has left the victim's family devastated and raised concerns about road safety.
The deceased, Mohammed Farkan, originally from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, had relocated to Mullanpur with his family. Tragically, his life was cut short in this unfortunate accident. His brother, who was riding pillion, also suffered severe injuries.

Regrettably, the Haryana Roadways bus that was following them couldn't come to a stop in time. The bus collided with their motorcycle, causing them to fall onto the road. Tragically, Farkan was run over by the bus and lost his life on the spot. The bus driver, identified as Udayveer Singh from Faridabad, Haryana, fled the scene, abandoning the bus.
In the wake of this tragic incident, an enraged crowd gathered at the site, blocking the road and venting their frustration by pelting the bus with stones. They raised slogans against Haryana Roadways in their anger.

Local authorities intervened to pacify the agitated crowd and assured them that the driver would be apprehended promptly. This assurance led to the dispersal of the crowd and the clearing of the blockade. The driver has been booked under Sections 279 (rash driving) and 304-A (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code, following a complaint by Shadab, at the Zirakpur police station.
