The entire Bajrang Dal unit in Haryana made headlines when they collectively resigned from their positions. Their move came as a protest against the arrest of two of their associates, Mohit Yadav (also known as Monu Manesar) and Bittu Bajrangi. The activists accused Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar of not providing adequate support to right-wing activists regarding the recent Nuh violence.

Protest and accusations

Addressing the media in Jind, the Bajrang Dal activists tendered their resignations to the state head, Pawan. They expressed their disappointment, alleging that both Chief Minister Khattar and Vijay, a senior member of the Bajrang Dal, failed to stand by them and were exploiting their actions for political gain.

Harish Ramkali, the vice-convener of the Haryana Bajrang Dal unit, revealed that their activists had sustained injuries when stones were thrown at them during a religious procession in Nuh on July 31. However, the state government had not provided any compensation or medical assistance to the injured workers. They felt their religious activities were being exploited for political purposes, and they criticized the inaction of both the Haryana Chief Minister and the Bajrang Dal state chief regarding their concerns. Furthermore, they voiced their displeasure at the arrest of Monu and accused the government of failing to take action against those responsible for attacking them.

Mahavir Biroli, head of the Jind Bajrang Dal unit, added that while the Chief Minister claimed to support Sanatan Dharma (the ancient religion), their workers were being unfairly arrested. The activists were particularly upset when the government denied a government job to a Panipat Bajrang Dal member who lost his life during the Nuh violence. Monu's arrest, as he was handed over to the Rajasthan police in connection with the deaths of two Muslim individuals in Bhiwani, further fueled their frustration.
