Over the weekend, the night temperature in the region decreased from 24.2°C on Saturday to 21.7°C on Sunday. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), this temperature drop was due to cloudy weather, and they anticipate a rise in temperature starting from Monday.

The region has been experiencing a downward trend in temperatures, with the daytime temperature falling from 32.2°C on Saturday to 31°C on Sunday. IMD officials attribute this to the influence of a western disturbance (WD) active in the area, which kept the skies cloudy on Sunday without any recorded rainfall. This effect is expected to diminish from Monday, leading to sunnier days.

Coldest september night this month

Sunday's night temperature at 21.7°C marked the lowest September night temperature so far this month. Nevertheless, it is milder compared to the same period last year when the minimum temperature dropped to 21.2°C on September 26.

The daytime high of 31°C on Sunday was the coolest since September 17 when it was 28°C. The night temperature at 21.7°C was the coldest since June 3, when it reached 20.8°C.
