In exciting news for Gurugram, the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) is making significant strides in the development of the Global City project near the Dwarka Expressway. They recently awarded a substantial ₹940 crore tender to build essential infrastructure for Phase One of the project, covering 570 acres. This phase will encompass roads, electricity, water supply, and more. Work on this phase is set to begin within the next two to three months and aims for completion by October 2026.
In addition to the infrastructure tender, HSIIDC has also revealed plans to auction four land plots within Global City for mixed-use purposes. The auction is scheduled for December this year.
The largest of these plots spans approximately 86 acres and will primarily serve commercial purposes with some residential space. Another 23-acre plot will have a similar usage blend. A 58-acre parcel will be divided equally between commercial and residential purposes, while a smaller 4.84-acre site is designated for an institutional school.

Yash Garg, managing director of HSIIDC, highlighted that Global City's infrastructure will feature broad roads, a comprehensive internal mass transit system, and a utility tunnel for essential services. This advanced infrastructure will support a sustainable and efficient living environment.
Moreover, an internal mass rapid transportation system will facilitate easy public transit, connecting to the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS). The Global City project is designed to minimize the need for frequent road digging for utility expansion, which will significantly reduce disruptions.
This massive development project spans over 1,000 acres, with a diverse range of amenities including commercial and residential spaces, schools, hospitals, and much more, making it a promising addition to Gurugram's landscape.
