Under the banner of Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan Season 2, a six-day district-level sports event kicked off, featuring a wide range of sports competitions. Athletes will compete in sports like athletics, basketball, badminton, football, gatka, hockey, handball, judo, kickboxing, kabaddi, kho-kho, lawn tennis, netball, powerlifting, shooting, softball, swimming, table tennis, volleyball, weightlifting, and wrestling. The games will continue until October 5.
During the event, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), West, Harjinder Singh conducted a tour of various sports venues and assessed the preparations. District Sports Officer Rupinder Singh Brar motivated the participating athletes.
In the under-14 boys' football matches at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana-1 defeated Maloud B Team 3-0, Dehlon B Team won against Doraha B Team 5-3, Machhiwara A Team secured a 1-0 victory over Jagraon -A Team, Pakhowal B Team defeated Ludhiana-2 A Team 3-1, Ludhiana-2 B Team won against Raikot A Team 1-0, and Pakhowal A Team triumphed over Municipal Corporation Team 2-0. Dehlon A Team defeated Sidhwan Bet Team 2-0.

In under-14 girls' softball matches at Government Smart School, Gill Team beat BCM Focal Point Team 9-2, Government School, Kasabad Team won against Dasmesh Public School Team 7-0, and Government Kanya Senior Secondary School emerged victorious against DAV School Team with a score of 10-1. In the semifinals, Mala Coaching Centre defeated Government Kanya Senior Secondary School, Kasabad Team 10-0.
In the under-14 girls' weightlifting competitions at Narinder Chander Stadium, Khanna, Lavleen Kaur secured the first position in the 35 kg category, Sukhdeep Kaur clinched the top spot in the 40 kg category, Harsirat claimed victory in the 45 kg category, Khushi secured the first position in the 49 kg category, Gursimar Singh emerged victorious in the 37 kg category, and Pukhraj Singh grabbed the top spot in the 43 kg category.

In the under-14 girls' handball competitions held at Government Senior Secondary Smart School, various teams won their matches with impressive scores.
