In a heart-wrenching incident in Jalandhar, three young sisters, aged between four and nine years, were discovered lifeless in their home on Monday morning. The girls, daughters of a migrant laborer, were found inside an iron trunk during a search conducted at their residence in Maqsudan, Jalandhar.
Amrita Kumari (9), Shakti Kumari (7), and Kanchan Kumari (4) had gone missing on Sunday evening, prompting their parents to launch a frantic search. The family reported their disappearance at 11 pm, following which the police initiated an investigation.
Initial reports suggest that the children had been playing unsupervised at home when they somehow became trapped inside the iron trunk. The angular locks of the trunk apparently locked automatically, leading to their suffocation. The police are treating the case with utmost seriousness, conducting thorough inquiries and questioning neighbors for any additional information.
