Haryana is taking steps to speed up the resolution of NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) cases within the state by establishing four additional fast-track courts, according to Haryana's Chief Secretary, Sanjeev Kaushal. Currently, there are six notified NDPS fast-track courts, with one already operational. These new courts are expected to significantly expedite the legal process for such cases.
To enhance the fight against drug abuse, the Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau (HSNCB) has developed an advanced database using cutting-edge technology. This database contains information about drug traffickers in every village across the state. It aims to provide crucial data to aid in investigations and legal proceedings related to drug offenses.

Kaushal emphasized the importance of close coordination and information sharing among northern states and Union Territories (UTs). To facilitate this, an "inter-state drug secretariat" has been established in Panchkula, Haryana.
Additionally, Haryana has formed an advisory board to strengthen the institutional framework for combating drug abuse. The HSNCB has also created a detailed Standard Operating Procedure (SoP) for financial investigations related to drug crimes.
Furthermore, the Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau is utilizing specialized software called "HAWK" to profile individuals accused of drug trafficking in NDPS cases. This software employs data analytics features to maintain comprehensive profiles of each accused person, including their connections within the drug trade.
