In a successful police operation, three individuals were arrested in Chandigarh following a recent robbery incident. The accused have been identified as Suraj Kumar (23), Sanjay Kumar (21), and Arjun Kumar (26), all residents of Nayagaon, Mohali. These arrests come two days after three unidentified individuals on a scooter had snatched ₹1400 from a junior engineer (JE) of the Chandigarh Housing Board.
The victim, Abu Horaira (30), reported the incident to the police, explaining that he was walking to Sector 11 market when the three men approached him and demanded money. When he refused, the suspects threatened him with assault and forcibly took ₹1400 from him.

All three suspects have a history of criminal activities. Suraj Kumar had previously been booked for assault by Sector 11 police in 2020. Sanjay Kumar was also involved in the same assault case with Suraj and faced charges under the Arms Act by Sector 11 police in July 2023. Additionally, Arjun Kumar had a prior record and was previously booked for theft by Sector 3 police in 2020.
