In a grueling contest lasting 69 minutes, Sindhu overcame an initial setback to defeat Tunjung with a final score of 12-21, 21-18, 21-15.
In the men's doubles event, the recently crowned world number one duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty stormed into the second round. The Asian Games gold medalists, who had skipped the Denmark Open super 750 tournament the previous week, secured a straightforward victory against world No. 34 pair Lucas Corvee and Ronan Labar with a commanding score of 21-13, 21-13.

Satwik and Chirag are now set to face the formidable three-time world champions, Mohammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan from Indonesia.
The Indian pair's exceptional performance saw them taking the lead early in both games, maintaining control and winning with ease.
On the following day, Kidambi Srikanth is scheduled to compete against France's Tomav Popov Junior, while Lakshya Sen will face another French competitor, Arnaud Merkle. The Indian contingent is optimistic about their performances in the upcoming matches as they continue their quest for success in the French Open Super 750 badminton tournament.
