Tragedy struck on a Sunday near Bhattian village as three teenagers lost their lives while taking a dip in the Sutlej river. The victims, all 16 years old, were identified as Prince Yadav, Rohit Kumar, and Anshu Gupta. Two of their friends were with them, and together, they had jumped into the river. Unfortunately, none of them resurfaced, leading to a frantic situation.
The situation took a dire turn when their friends realized that the three teenagers had not come back up from the river. In a state of alarm, they quickly informed local residents about the distressing incident. The locals, recognizing the seriousness of the situation, promptly sought help from the police.
A rescue operation was initiated to locate the missing teenager. Divers were employed to search for the victims in the river. Two of the boys' bodies were recovered during this operation, but one teenager was still missing.

Inspector Harjeet Singh, the in-charge of Salem Tabri police station, affirmed the ongoing efforts to locate the missing teenager. He stated that the families had been informed about the tragic incident, and the recovered bodies were sent for autopsy to the civil hospital.
