A state-level celebration marked the birth anniversary of Veerangana Jhalkari Bai, a pivotal figure in Rani Lakshmibai's army during the 1857 struggle for Independence. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, addressing the gathering, revealed plans to commemorate Jhalkari Bai's legacy in Palwal.
CM Khattar announced that the Government Girls Senior Secondary School in Palwal would be named after Jhalkari Bai. Additionally, a bhawan for the Koli community, featuring a grand statue of Jhalkari Bai, will be erected in Mohan Nagar's Ward No. 4. An allocation of ₹3 crore is designated for this initiative.

On the same day, CM Khattar inaugurated the newly constructed campus of Shri Vishwakarma Skill University in Dudhaula village, Palwal. Emphasizing the significance of skill development, he revealed a government grant of ₹1,000 crore for the university's development, aimed at providing employment opportunities for the youth. Notably, ₹357 crore has already been utilized for infrastructure, with an additional ₹150 crore forthcoming.
