In Sonepat's Gohana area, the sarpanch of Chhichhrana village, Rajesh Kumar, known as Raju, was fatally shot by unidentified assailants while he was on his way to his farm. The incident occurred on Monday, and despite immediate efforts, Raju was declared dead upon reaching a nearby hospital.
