The meteorological office in Shimla has predicted rain and snow in isolated places across Himachal Pradesh due to the influence of a feeble western disturbance. While the disturbance began impacting the state on Friday night, the chances of a white Christmas in Shimla are considered low. However, higher reaches of the state capital and adjoining Kinnaur district might experience snowfall.

Anticipated conditions and temperature trends

Under the influence of this weather system, light to moderate rainfall is expected in isolated areas of Chamba, Kangra, Mandi, Kullu, Lahaul and Spiti, Kinnaur, Shimla, and Sirmaur. There's a possibility of snowfall in the higher reaches of Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti, and Kinnaur districts on Saturday.
