Dense fog shrouded Punjab, leading to a bus-truck collision in Tarn Taran district that left 20 people injured. The incident occurred due to poor visibility early in the morning, highlighting the hazardous conditions commuters faced.

Road pile-up in Haryana

In Haryana, seven vehicles collided on the Karnal-Indri highway due to dense fog, causing a pile-up. While no major injuries were reported, the accident underscored the dangers of poor visibility. The fog-related incidents disrupted normal travel routines and posed challenges for commuters.

The dense fog prompted the cancellation of 22 trains and partial termination of six in Punjab. Passengers at Ludhiana station faced delays, with 33 trains running behind schedule. The adverse weather conditions also led to the suspension of various rail services, affecting connectivity between cities.

Flight operations hit

Flight operations in Amritsar, Bathinda, and Ludhiana were severely impacted. Bathinda airport experienced disruptions for the second consecutive day, with flights delayed and one cancellation. Alliance Air flights faced delays of at least an hour, affecting travel plans for passengers. The adverse weather conditions affected both road and air travel, causing inconvenience to the public.
