In anticipation of the consecration ceremony for the Ram temple in Ayodhya, the Central Government has issued an order declaring a half-day closure for all Central Government offices, institutions, and industrial establishments on January 22, 2024, until 2:30 PM. Public sector banks, insurance companies, financial institutions, and regional rural banks will also remain closed for the first half of the day due to the significant event.

Nationwide observance for Ram Temple Consecration

The Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) has extended the half-day closure order to Central Government offices, institutions, and industrial establishments nationwide. The decision aims to allow employees to participate in the 'Pran Pratishtha' celebration associated with the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple.
