Over 15 lakh candidates from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are preparing to appear for the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Constable (General Duty) exam, along with the recruitment for Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles and Secretariat Security Force.
A total of 97 examination centers have been established, with 69 in Uttar Pradesh and 28 in Bihar, by the Staff Selection Commission Central Region Office in Prayagraj. The exam will take place from February 20 to March 7, conducted in four shifts daily.

In Uttar Pradesh, 11,18,823 candidates are registered, while Bihar has 4,01,240 candidates registered for the exam. Across the country, a total of 46,47,646 candidates are registered.
For the first time, the exam will be conducted in 13 languages to accommodate non-Hindi and non-English speaking candidates. This includes languages such as Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Gujarati, Oriya, Assamese, Tamil, Punjabi, Malayalam, Manipuri, Urdu, and Konkani.

The recruitment aims to fill 26,146 vacant posts in various organizations including the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Secretariat Security Force (SSF), and Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles (AR).
