Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the Congress General Secretary, will participate in the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra alongside former party chief Rahul Gandhi. Her participation is scheduled to begin from Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh on February 24. Earlier, Priyanka Gandhi had expressed her regret for missing out on the yatra due to illness on February 16.
Priyanka Gandhi had conveyed her disappointment at being unable to attend the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in UP previously due to her hospitalization for dehydration and a stomach infection. However, sources have confirmed her discharge from Sir Gangaram Hospital in New Delhi after receiving treatment for her condition.
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi restarted his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Amethi in Uttar Pradesh on Monday. The yatra, part of a broader campaign spanning 15 states, aims to cover 6,700 kilometers in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections scheduled for April-May this year.

Amethi, historically a stronghold for the Congress party, witnessed Rahul Gandhi's renewed efforts to engage with voters as part of the yatra. Despite losing the Amethi seat to BJP's Smriti Irani in the 2019 elections, Rahul Gandhi continues to prioritize Uttar Pradesh, a crucial state in national politics.
The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra follows the party's earlier Bharat Jodo Yatra and seeks to foster connections across different regions and communities in India. With Lok Sabha elections looming, the Congress aims to cover significant ground and engage with voters on pertinent issues.
