Delhi's Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena accused Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of delaying action on the sexual harassment case at Baba Saheb Ambedkar Medical College. Saxena claimed that Kejriwal held up the transfer file of the accused principal for 45 days, despite demands for action from Delhi's Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj.
According to the L-G's office, Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj urged Saxena to remove the principal, Ishwar Singh, due to alleged misconduct in handling the sexual harassment case. However, the file for Singh's transfer has been pending with Kejriwal since February 14, 2024.
VK Saxena questioned the motive behind the delay in taking action against the accused. Despite reminders from the Member Secretary of the NCCSA, which is chaired by the Chief Minister, Kejriwal has not made a decision regarding Singh's removal from the medical college.

This allegation against Kejriwal comes amidst his ongoing legal troubles, with his ED remand recently extended by the Rouse Avenue Court. Kejriwal has defended himself, claiming that the Enforcement Directorate has no solid evidence against him in their extensive report. He has labeled his arrest as part of a political conspiracy against his party.
