After severe turbulence during a United Airlines flight, about 25 EMTs and paramedics responded to assess passengers at New Windsor airport. The flight, traveling from Tel Aviv to Newark Liberty International Airport, was diverted to New York Stewart International Airport due to high winds and a passenger medical emergency.
Of the 310 passengers and crew members, six were hospitalized, and several others received treatment for minor ailments. The medical response included evaluating approximately 30 people, with seven transported to a local hospital for observation due to motion sickness and vomiting. Fortunately, no major injuries were reported.
