Twinkle and Akshay have a history of working together in films like "International Khiladi" (1999) and "Zulmi" (1999). They tied the knot on January 17, 2001, and have since built a family together, cherishing moments like their recent date night.
Twinkle often shares glimpses of her life with Akshay on social media, showcasing their bond and shared experiences. In November 2023, she reminisced about their married life with a throwback photo of them playing cards. She highlighted the tradition of playing cards, a practice carried forward from Akshay's parents, as a cherished ritual in their household.

Apart from her personal life, Twinkle has carved her niche as an author. She pursued her Master's in Fiction Writing at Goldsmiths, University of London, graduating recently. In 2015, she debuted as an author with her non-fiction book, "Mrs. Funnybones," which received acclaim for its wit and humor. Her subsequent works, including "The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad" and "Pyjamas Are Forgiving," further solidified her position as one of India's leading female authors. In 2023, she released her fourth book, "Welcome to Paradise," continuing to captivate readers with her storytelling prowess.
