Indian-origin communities abroad, particularly in the US, are showing immense enthusiasm for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in India.In a series of car rallies organized by supporters of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), Indian-Americans are expressing their strong backing for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

Overseas support for BJP

From the east coast to the west coast and north to south, 20 American cities witnessed vibrant car rallies adorned with banners, flags, and slogans in support of Modi's government. The rallies, organized by The Overseas Friends of BJP in the US (OFBJP-USA), aimed to rally support for the NDA to achieve "Ab ki Baar 400 Paar" in the upcoming elections.

In cities like Silicon Valley and Atlanta, impressive turnouts of over 200 cars and 150 cars, respectively, joined the rallies. The San Francisco Bay Area witnessed a lively caravan of 300 participants, while cities like Austin, Dallas, Chicago, Raleigh, and Detroit also saw enthusiastic displays of support with cars decked out in BJP and American flags.

Sikh community's Backing

Notably, members of the Sikh community also joined the rallies in support of Modi's re-election bid. In a Maryland suburb of Washington DC, cars decorated with BJP and American flags, along with placards reading "Sikh Americans for Modi 3.0", "Ab ki bar 400 paarr", and "Modi guarantee, India 3rd largest economy", added to the fervor of the event.

Participants praised Modi's government for its achievements in India's growth and global peace, expressing hope for its re-election in 2024. The rallies showcased a unified voice of the Indian-American diaspora, highlighting their strong belief in Modi's leadership and vision for India's future.
