In a fiery speech, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge didn't hold back in criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi for what he sees as a lack of action against China's encroachment on Indian territory.

"Sardar of Liars"

Speaking at an election rally in Rajasthan, Kharge questioned Modi's leadership, suggesting that while China was making bold moves into Indian land, Modi seemed inactive, asking, "Have you taken sleeping pills? Have they taken opium from the fields of Rajasthan... and fed you?"

Kharge went on to label Modi as a "sardar (chief) of liars," accusing him of focusing more on attacking the Gandhi family than on the nation's welfare. Despite no member of the Gandhi family holding a significant political position since 1989, Kharge pointed out that Modi continues to criticize them, alleging a pattern of constant dishonesty.

India rejects China's moves

The Congress president's criticism comes at a time when tensions between India and China are on the rise, especially with China renaming 30 places along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh, an Indian state. These actions by China were swiftly rejected by India's Ministry of External Affairs, asserting that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India and will always remain so. India condemned China's attempts to rename these places as "senseless."

Kharge's scathing remarks underscore the growing concerns over China's assertiveness in the region and the need for strong leadership to safeguard India's territorial integrity. The rejection of China's actions reaffirms India's stance on the sovereignty of Arunachal Pradesh, signaling a firm stance against any attempts to alter the status quo.
