The sports drama "Maidaan," featuring Ajay Devgn as a determined football coach, continues to garner positive responses from audiences. Directed by Amit R Sharma, the film is based on the life of Syed Abdul Rahim.

Steady Box Office performance

According to the latest report on Sacnilk.com, "Maidaan" has collected over ₹6 crore at the Indian box office on its fourth day of release. Despite not reaching double digits, it marks the highest single-day collection for the film so far.

On its opening day, "Maidaan" collected ₹4.5 crore, followed by ₹2.75 crore on the second day and ₹5.75 crore on the third day. With the fourth-day collection considered, the film has accumulated ₹21.85 crore in total. The report also notes a 24.29% Hindi Occupancy on the fourth day.

"Maidaan" faces tough competition from the Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff-starrer "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan," directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, which has garnered over ₹40 crore at the box office.

Cast and crew

Apart from Ajay Devgn, "Maidaan" also stars Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Rudranil Ghosh. The musical score is composed by AR Rahman.

The Hindustan Times review praises Ajay Devgn's portrayal of the character, stating that he brings his own essence to the role rather than imitating Rahim's mannerisms. Devgn's performance adds depth and authenticity to the film, making it a compelling watch for audiences.
