In a significant development, Karnataka BJP leader Devaraje Gowda handed over a pen drive containing alleged explicit clips to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the purported sex scandal involving JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna. Devaraje Gowda, who previously alerted the BJP leadership about Revanna's alleged misconduct, appeared before the SIT to provide his statement.
Devaraje Gowda disclosed that he received the pendrive from Karthik, Prajwal Revanna's former driver. During his appearance before the SIT, Gowda reiterated his earlier warning to the BJP regarding Prajwal's suitability as a candidate for the Hassan constituency. He expressed concerns about potential political ramifications, asserting that Congress leaders possessed a similar pendrive containing approximately 3,000 explicit videos implicating Prajwal.

However, Karnataka BJP president BY Vijayendra refuted Devaraje Gowda's claims, stating that he never received any such letter concerning the videos. Vijayendra dismissed the assertions made by Gowda as baseless. Meanwhile, the circulation of explicit video clips in the Hassan area, allegedly depicting Prajwal engaging in acts of sexual abuse, has sparked widespread controversy. The MP reportedly left the country amidst the scandal, seeking refuge in Germany. Additionally, accusations of sexual harassment and rape have been leveled against Prajwal and his father, JD(S) MLA HD Revanna, by women associated with the household.
In response to the unfolding situation, authorities issued a lookout notice against Prajwal after he requested a seven-day extension to appear before the SIT. The probe team demanded his immediate cooperation. Prajwal, in his first statement since the scandal surfaced, affirmed that he was not in Bangalore for the inquiry but had communicated through his legal representative. He expressed confidence that the truth would emerge soon.
