The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has unveiled its roster of star campaigners for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Delhi. Despite being incarcerated, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his wife, Sunita Kejriwal, are among the prominent figures named in the list. Alongside them, notable figures like Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, and several MPs and ministers from Delhi are also included. This move signals AAP's intent to field a formidable lineup for the electoral battle ahead.

AAP and Congress forge alliance for Delhi Elections

In a notable development, AAP and the Congress party have joined forces under the banner of the INDIA bloc to strategize their campaign approach for the Delhi Lok Sabha elections. This collaborative effort aims to pool resources and maximize impact in the electoral arena. Under this arrangement, the two parties have agreed on a seat-sharing formula, with Congress contesting on three seats and AAP on four in Delhi.

AAP has outlined a detailed organizational structure to streamline its election campaign efforts. At the state level, MLA and Political Affairs Committee member Durgesh Pathak has been tasked with coordination responsibilities. Additionally, at the constituency level, designated coordinators have been appointed for each Lok Sabha constituency in Delhi. These coordinators will oversee campaign activities and ensure effective communication and coordination on the ground.

Election schedule and outcome expectations

The elections for the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi are scheduled for May 25, with results slated to be announced on June 4. With both AAP and Congress mobilizing their resources and rallying support, the electoral landscape in Delhi is expected to witness intense campaigning and competitive contests across constituencies. The outcome of these elections will have significant implications for the political landscape of Delhi and the broader national political arena.
