Fifteen-year-old Vanshika, born with a visual impairment, has defied odds by scoring an impressive 96% in the CBSE Class 10 exams. Despite facing challenges, she dreams of cracking the UPSC Civil Services Examination and becoming an IAS officer.

A determined student

Vanshika, a student at the Institute for the Blind in Chandigarh, has shown remarkable dedication to her studies. Despite her visual impairment, she pursued self-study for three hours every evening and extended her study hours during exams, often studying until 11 pm. Her hard work and perseverance have paid off with exceptional results.

Vanshika's aspirations extend beyond personal achievements. She aims to work towards empowering visually impaired students and creating a more inclusive environment for them. Her desire to make a positive impact reflects her compassionate nature and commitment to social change.

Vanshika is not alone in her academic achievements. At the Institute for the Blind, Sector 26, all visually impaired students who appeared for the Class 12 and Class 10 exams have passed. Chandigarh's Education landscape

Meanwhile, Chandigarh's government schools have shown improvement in both Class 10 and Class 12 results. The pass percentage in government schools has increased significantly compared to previous years, indicating positive strides in the quality of education provided. However, there remain challenges, as evidenced by the performance of certain schools with lower pass percentages.
