Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami criticized the Punjab government on Saturday for not providing utilization certificates for rural development funds and accused them of misusing previously allocated funds. Dhami’s remarks came during a press conference at a private hotel on Ferozepur Road. He emphasized that the people of Punjab are eager to see Narendra Modi serve a third term as Prime Minister. Dhami highlighted the “remarkable development” India has experienced during Modi’s ten years in office and urged Ludhiana residents to vote for BJP nominee Ravneet Singh Bittu in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Praise for Modi and criticism of opposition

All 13 seats in Punjab will be contested in the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha elections on June 1, with results announced on June 4. Dhami praised PM Modi’s leadership, stating that India’s progress over the past decade is unparalleled and that the country has gained significant global recognition due to Modi’s efforts. He criticized the Congress party for not prioritizing Punjab’s development during their 60 years in power, contrasting this with Modi’s initiatives like commemorating December 26 as Bal Diwas to honor Guru Gobind Singh’s sons and opening the Kartarpur Corridor.

Dhami also took aim at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress, accusing them of deceiving Punjabis by forming alliances in places like Delhi and Haryana while contesting separately in Punjab. He emphasized that people realize the need to bring BJP back to power and re-elect Modi as Prime Minister for a secure future. Additionally, Dhami accused the AAP government of corruption, mentioning that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is under scrutiny for the excise policy “scam” and claimed that corruption is rampant in the Punjab government.
