A 34-year-old IT engineer living in Chandigarh’s Sector 44 was found hanging in her house on June 23. She worked for a private company in Gurugram but had been working from home for the past few months. On the night of June 22, she had a minor argument with her husband. The next morning, her husband woke up and couldn't find her in their room. After searching, he found her hanging in another room. He immediately called the police, who arrived at the scene and took her to Government Medical College and Hospital Sector-32. Unfortunately, she was declared dead on arrival.
No suicide note was found, and the police started inquest proceedings. Four days later, the woman’s father filed a complaint, leading to the registration of a case against her husband for abetment of suicide under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code at Sector 34 police station.
