The Congress party disclosed that Rahul Gandhi was provided with ₹1.40 crore to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from two seats: Wayanad in Kerala and Raebareli in Uttar Pradesh. He received ₹70 lakh for each constituency. After winning both seats, Rahul Gandhi chose to retain Raebareli, his seat in Uttar Pradesh, and bypolls will soon be held in Wayanad, where Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will be the Congress candidate.
Despite being a key campaigner, Rahul Gandhi wasn’t the Congress leader who received the most funds for the elections. Vikramaditya Singh from Himachal Pradesh received ₹87 lakh, the highest amount given to any Congress candidate. Other candidates, such as Kishori Lal Sharma, K C Venugopal, and Manickam Tagore, also received ₹70 lakh each.
