In the latest promo for *The Great Indian Kapil Show*, Alia Bhatt and the team of her upcoming film *Jigra* are featured. The promo showcases Alia, producer Karan Johar, and co-star Vedang Raina. In this episode, which airs on September 21, Kapil Sharma humorously questions Karan Johar about his feelings for Alia, asking if she is a friend, daughter, or “phoopi” (aunt). Karan affectionately calls Alia his “first daughter” and mentions that he has helped many with their relationships, despite being single himself.
Alia shares that Karan has an incredible sixth sense, revealing how he knew about her friendship with Ranbir Kapoor before it became public. Karan laughs and adds a playful remark about their friendship. During the promo, Karan also shares a funny story about being part of two “mommies groups” and how he reminds them that he is also part of their chats.

In a playful moment towards the end of the promo, Kapil Sharma teases Alia about a past relationship of Ranbir Kapoor. Kapil jokingly suggests bringing the ex-girlfriend onto the show. Alia, surprised and amused, laughs when Sunil Grover, dressed as Dafli in a saree, walks toward her, adding to the humor.
Alia and Ranbir Kapoor, who married in April 2022, have a daughter named Raha, born in November 2022. Alia’s upcoming film *Jigra*, which highlights the sibling bond between her character and her brother, played by Vedang Raina, is set to release on October 11, 2024.
