On Friday, two migrant workers from Uttar Pradesh were injured after terrorists opened fire on them in Budgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Identified as Sufiyan and Usman, the workers were involved in the Jal Jeewan Project in the Mazhama area. Officials report that both men were hospitalized and are currently stable.
This incident is part of a string of recent attacks targeting civilians and military personnel in the Union Territory. Earlier this week, Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists attacked an Indian Army convoy’s ambulance in Akhnoor. Security forces responded by neutralizing three terrorists, who, according to intelligence, had entered the area with plans for a larger assault.

Authorities remain on high alert. On October 24, two Army soldiers and two civilian workers were killed when terrorists targeted a military vehicle in Baramulla. Similarly, a separate incident saw terrorists killing a doctor and six construction workers at a tunnel construction site on the Srinagar-Leh highway.
During the National Unity Day celebration, Prime Minister Modi addressed these acts of violence, reaffirming India’s stand against terrorism and applauding the people of Jammu and Kashmir for rejecting separatism. "The terrorists' backers now understand that harming India will bring no gain," he stated.
