Ajay Devgn made an exciting announcement revealing his next directorial venture, which will star Akshay Kumar in the lead role. Ajay and Akshay, who shared the stage as guest speakers, delighted fans with the unexpected news.  

Ajay, known for his calm demeanor, shared the news with a smile. “This is something we were planning to announce later, but this platform seems perfect. I am directing the film, and Akshay is playing the lead,” he said. Akshay joined in the playful mood, jokingly offering to send over the script to Kalra. However, Ajay clarified that the project was still in its early stages and further details would be shared later.  

The announcement has sparked excitement among fans, as the duo has previously delivered memorable performances together in films like *Khakee*, *Sooryavanshi*, *Suhaag*, and more recently, *Singham Again*. While Ajay played the lead in *Singham Again*, Akshay made a special appearance, adding to the star-studded cast that included Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Tiger Shroff.

Actors discuss Film economics  

During the summit, Ajay and Akshay also shared insights into the economics of filmmaking, particularly regarding actors' salaries. Ajay explained that most actors charge based on the project’s potential revenue. “Actors charge according to the script and the film’s recoveries,” he said, adding that the trend is becoming more aligned with ensuring fair returns for producers.  

Akshay elaborated on this by saying, “If we sign a film today, we don’t take upfront fees. Instead, we take a share in the profits. If the film works, we benefit; if it doesn’t, we don’t get paid.” This approach, he explained, balances the risk between actors and producers, making the process fairer for all parties involved.  

Ajay and Akshay’s combined star power, coupled with their collaborative history, has raised expectations for this upcoming film. Fans eagerly await further updates about the project, which promises to be another major cinematic milestone.
