N. Ramamurthy Naidu, the younger brother of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and a former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), passed away on Saturday at a private super-speciality hospital in Hyderabad. The 72-year-old leader had been undergoing treatment for multiple health complications, including cardiac arrest and a neurological condition.
According to the hospital bulletin, Ramamurthy Naidu had been admitted on November 14 following a cardiac arrest. He was revived through cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) but remained critically unstable with severe health issues, including low blood pressure and respiratory distress. Despite continuous efforts and intermittent ventilatory support, his condition deteriorated, and he breathed his last at 12:45 PM.
Ramamurthy Naidu served as an MLA representing the Chandragiri Assembly constituency in Andhra Pradesh from 1994 to 1999. Known for his contributions to his constituency, his political career reflected his dedication to public service and his association with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

Despite medical interventions, his health challenges persisted.
His passing was met with condolences from political leaders, including Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, who expressed his sympathies and prayed for peace for the departed soul.
Ramamurthy Naidu’s family includes his son, Nara Rohit, a well-known actor in the Telugu film industry. Tributes poured in from various quarters, highlighting his contributions to Andhra Pradesh politics and his role as a family man.
The demise of Ramamurthy Naidu marks a significant loss for the Naidu family and the TDP, as well as for the Chandragiri constituency, where he left a lasting impact during his tenure as an MLA.
