NFL star Travis Kelce recently gave a candid review of Taylor Swift's favorite Christmas movie, Love Actually. His remarks came during an episode of his podcast, New Heights, co-hosted with his brother, Jason Kelce. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end shared his thoughts on the 2013 romantic comedy at the request of his sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce. While Love Actually has been cherished by many, Travis found its storyline "terrifying."

Travis’ take on the Film

Kylie Kelce, wife of Jason Kelce, encouraged Travis to watch Love Actually, a movie she described as a great option to enjoy with a partner. "Love Actually is a tremendous movie that you can really sit down with your significant other and enjoy," she said. Kylie also teased Jason for repeatedly avoiding the movie, saying, "Because it's not like one of your significant others hasn't asked you to watch it multiple times, and you said no every time."

Travis admitted that, after initially labeling the movie as "torture" during a previous podcast episode, he decided to give it a try. He found the movie "very interesting" and even "fun" in parts. However, he expressed discomfort with its dramatic storylines, describing them as "terrifying."

Travis explained, "What’s crazy is that all of these stories tie together in one community, and it’s supposed to make it look like this is what happens." He added that the intertwining tales felt "far-fetched" and that he "couldn’t relate to anybody onscreen."

Jason’s reluctance and Taylor’s perspective

Jason Kelce, a former Philadelphia Eagles player, admitted that he felt "forced" to watch the movie. He said his review was based on honest opinions without any bias. "That’s what you get from Jason Kelce," he joked.

As for Taylor Swift, she’s been a long-time fan of the movie. In a 2014 interview with Teen Vogue, she said, "If you look around, love actually is all around."

The podcast episode brought out a mix of humor and critique, showcasing the contrasting views on a beloved holiday classic. While Taylor remains a fan of Love Actually, Travis’s review added a playful twist to the ongoing conversation about the film’s place in Christmas traditions.
