US President Donald Trump has introduced a new immigration policy called the ‘gold card,’ which will allow American companies to hire Indian graduates from US universities. This initiative is part of his plan to attract talented professionals and wealthy investors to the United States.

The ‘gold card’ is a special pathway to US citizenship for foreign investors who are willing to invest $5 million in the country. Trump announced this policy during his first Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, expressing hope that it would be widely accepted.

A new opportunity for graduates

During the meeting, Trump explained that many bright students from India, China, Japan, and other countries graduate from top US universities like Harvard, Yale, and the Wharton School of Finance. However, despite receiving job offers, they often face immigration issues and are unable to stay in the US.

To solve this problem, Trump introduced the ‘gold card’ system. Under this plan, companies can buy a gold card and use it to hire these talented graduates. He emphasized that this initiative would benefit both businesses and the economy.

Trump stated that money from the gold card program would help the US government pay off its debt. He also mentioned that businesses operating in the US would not have to pay tariffs, while those outside the country would be required to pay them.

The president stressed that the US needs "productive people" who can contribute to economic growth. He expressed confidence that the gold card program would encourage investment, create jobs, and strengthen the economy.

Trump also joked about the plan, saying, "I hope you liked it." His administration believes that monetizing immigration policies can bring positive changes to the country.

Trump's gold card plan aims to attract skilled graduates and wealthy investors to the US. By allowing companies to recruit talented individuals and reducing economic uncertainty, the initiative seeks to boost employment and support the nation's financial stability.
