  General Manager, Northern Railway, Shri Ashutosh Gangal conducted an extensive inspection of Tapri - Meerut City Rail Section today. He was accompanied by Shri Dimpy Garg, Divisional Railway Manager, Delhi, Principal Head of Departments of Northern Railway and Officers of Delhi Division.
          Shri Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager inspected Tapri Railway Station. He inspected the working of small track machines and USFD testing and Switch Room . He also inspected Turnouts and Gang No. 25 at Tapri yard and the welding team. GM inspected Traction SubStation (TSS), 10 KWP Solar Power Plant & Switch room at Tapri. He inaugurated Jaruda Nara TSS through remote link and also inspected TSS Complex. Plantation was done at TSS Complex.
          Enroute in the Tapri - Nagal Section the General Manager inspected Curve No. 18 C and Switch Expansion Joint (SEJ) No. 45 & 43 at Long Welded Rails (LWR) No. 41 A and Hindon river bridge No. 210. In the Nagal - Talheri Bazurg section he inspected Minor bridge no. 206-A. He inspected Level Crossing No. 71 in Talheri Bazurg - Deoband Section. Speed trial over 20 Kms was conducted in Deoband - Muzaffar Nagar section. 
          The General Manager, Northern Railway interacted with the Press representative, ZRUCC, Association at MuzaffarNagar Railway Station.
          At the next halting station Daurala, General Manager inspected the station building. He inaugurated the Terminal Management System(TMS). 
          In the Meerut Cantt - Meerut City Section, he inspected Level Crossing No. 29 B. At the next halting Station Meerut city, GM inspected Running Room, Health Unit, Railway Colony, Coach Sick Line, On Track machines and Camp Coach, RRI Building and 70-30 lighting system at the Railway Station and Remote monitoring for AC units in RRI. The General Manager inaugurated augmentation in bed capacity and Separate rooms for ladies Running Staff in the Running Room. He also inaugurated HR Mela. The General Manager flagged off the first IOH coach from Meerut city Sick Line. Plantation was also organized at Sick Line and Meerut City Railway Colony.
          The General Manager met members of the press and media and briefed them on the progress of various rail projects in the region. He also met members of ZRUCC/DRUCC, Railway Unions and Associations. He also interacted with representatives of Dainik Yatri Sangha and Rail passengers at various stations.
