EDUCATION MINISTER DIRECTS ALL GOVERNMENT AND PRIVATE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS TO HOLD SPECIAL SESSIONS COMMEMORATING MARTYRDOM OF SAHIBZADAS
LECTURE TO BE ORGANIZED REGARDING IMPORTANCE OF SHAHEEDI JOR MEL ON EDUSAT OF SCHOOL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

In order to make the present especially the younger generation aware about the sacrifices made by the family of Dasmesh Pita Sahib Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the Education and Higher Education Minister Pargat Singh today made significant announcements and directed all the educational institutions across the State to hold special sessions dedicated to the martyrdom of 'Chaar Sahibzade'. A lecture would be conducted by the education department through EDUSAT conducted by an eminent personality on the importance of Shaheedi Jor Mel. The students would be directly joining the lecture through the link.
In a press communique here, the Education and Higher Education Minister said that the entire government and private schools, colleges have been instructed that since the events taking place in the winter months of 'Poh' are part of the history of standing up to the tyranny and oppression and making supreme sacrifice for the sake of 'Dharma', it is our moral duty to educate our young generation about the same so as to enable them to derive inspiration from the moral values as well as the principles enshrined in our history.
The Education Minister further pointed out that the sacrifice made by Baba Ajit Singh Ji and Baba Jujhar Singh Ji at Sri Chamkaur Sahib and Mata Gujri Ji, Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji at Fatehgarh Sahib, is matchless and no such example can be found in the annals of world history even. These events inspire us to fight for truth and justice.
Disclosing more, Pargat Singh said that all the institutions must hold a program of minimum one hour duration and apprise the children about the sacrifices made for the sake of humanity.
