India not only saw the fastest growth of the Omicron Covid type, but it also saw the greatest Covid recovery rate since March 2020, at 98.40 percent.
India currently has 415 cases of the Omicron variation, and many restrictions have been implemented across the country, including midnight curfews and limitations on big gatherings, in order to prevent the spread of the new form.
In India, the number of active cases has dropped to 77,032, the lowest level in 579 days. Currently, active cases account for fewer than 1% of total cases.
