Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur's 54th convocation ceremony on Tuesday, telling the students that their experience at the prestigious institute "massively transformed" them. He further stated that IIT Kanpur has provided them with a large canvas to work with. "Choose difficulties above comfort," he advised the pupils.

There is no longer any 'Fear of the Unknown,' and you have the guts to travel the globe. PM Modi stated, "There is no more a 'Quest for the Unknown,' but rather a 'Quest for the Best,' and a dream to dominate the entire world."

The Prime Minister also informed the students that the training they had received, as well as the skills and information they had gained, will undoubtedly assist them in carving out a niche for themselves in the world.

He then praised Kanpur's heritage and diversity.

"From Satti Chaura Ghat to Madari Pasi, Nana Saheb to Batukeshwar Dutt, Kanpur is one of the few cities in India that is that diversified.

" When we visit this city, it feels as if we're journeying back in time to that wonderful past, to the glory of the sacrifices made during the liberation struggle," Prime Minister Modi added.

He did, however, ask the pupils to become technology champions, conquering it while avoiding becoming robotic replicas of themselves. "Work on the internet of things, but don't forget about the emotions of things,"

"By the time the country's freedom was 25 years old, we should have accomplished a lot to be able to stand on our own." It's too late now; the country has lost a lot of time since then. "We don't have to waste even two moments because two generations have passed," the Prime Minister added.

He then urged the students to work hard in order to develop an Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India).

Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and other leaders were present at the ceremony. After a year, the institute hosted a physical convocation, as it had been held virtually the previous year thanks to Covid-19.
