"Advise to tourists visiting Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh at this point of time. It is reported heavy snowfall between Baishakhi, Sela Pass, and Nuranang. Pls get proper information before you move because the road is extremely dangerous to drive and the temperature goes down to -25," On Wednesday, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju responded to concerned tourists on social media by extending a cordial welcome to everybody to visit Arunachal Pradesh.
Only visitors from the plains should be aware of the state's brutally chilly conditions. Earlier, in the midst of severe snowfall in Tawang, the minister shared photographs and a video encouraging travelers to be cautious.
The minister responded to a Twitter user's concern by saying that he will not postpone his travel to Arunachal Pradesh, even if life is at risk, “Don’t worry brother, you won’t die. Have fun and enjoy your trip to Arunachal Pradesh. I’m just giving an advisory for everyone’s safety.”
The minister replied to a user in a Tweet, “I extend a warm invitation to everyone to visit beautiful Arunachal Pradesh. Just be cautious as many people from plain areas are not aware of slippery road conditions due to snow, freezing cold and less oxygen. But the visit will be fun if you take proper care!!”
“Indian Army is always useful during difficult situations. They provide help to the needy people in an emergency time,” the minister tweeted.
