According to TV Globo and numerous media agencies, Bolsonaro, 66, who has been in power since 2019, was rushed to Vila Nova Star hospital in Sao Paulo.
According to local media, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro was sent to the hospital early Monday morning for treatment of a possible intestinal blockage.
Bolsonaro is being examined by his doctor to see if surgery is required, according to the president's doctor.
Bolsonaro has had many procedures on his belly for adhesions after an attempted murder with a knife in September 2018 and was operated for the same ailment in July 2021, in the private Vila Nova Star hospital, where he went again on Monday.
When questioned by AFP, the presidency refused to confirm or deny the information provided by the country's primary media.
The country president, who has been in power since 2019, was hospitalized at Vila Nova Star last July for four days due to an occlusion, after being admitted to Brasilia on an emergency basis due to acute stomach discomfort.
Jair Bolsonaro has had at least four medical surgeries on the digestive tract since being stabbed in the gut while campaigning for the presidential race in September 2018, allegedly by an extremist.
