Of order to combat a massive Omicron-driven rise in Covid cases in India, those travelling in from abroad would have to stay at home for a week after arrival and test on the eighth day.The total number of countries classified as “at-risk” has risen to 19, with nine more added since December.

All passengers must undergo a seven-day home isolation period and then submit to an RT-PCR test. If they test positive, they will be placed in an isolation facility and their samples will be sent to be tested for the genome.

Upon arrival in India, all travellers from high-risk nations will be examined. It is recommended that passengers schedule their examinations ahead of time.
