Ramesh Babu, an actor and producer, died on Saturday from liver problems. He was 56 years old at the time.
Ramesh was the older brother of Mahesh Babu and the eldest son of famous Telugu actor Krishna. Ramesh was brought to AIG Hospital in Hyderabad on Saturday evening after being unconscious at home due to illness.
At the age of 12, Ramesh Babu made his acting debut as a child actor. He has almost 15 films to his credit as an actor, with Samraat (1987) being his debut as a solo hero. Babu left performing in 1997 to pursue a career as a producer.
Under the Krishna Productions label, Ramesh Babu produced Arjun and Athidhi, both starring Mahesh Babu.
