Shefali Shah made her Bollywood debut in Rangeela, starring Aamir Khan, Urmila Matondkar, and Jackie Shroff, 27 years ago. She played Mala Malhotra, a figure who is said to be based on the late actress Sridevi. Shefali is remembered for her role in the 1995 picture despite having only a few scenes. The actress, on the other hand, did not look pleased when we reminded her of the film. Shefali admitted to IndiaToday.in that the persona didn't turn out the way she had envisioned it.
Shefali Shah is working on a number of interesting projects, including Human and Doctor G. However, she believes her first job was considerably different from what she had been told. "To tell you the truth, the job turned out to be extremely different from what I had been promised and expected. Furthermore, it differed significantly from the final product. After four days of filming, I recognised that this is not what I wanted to accomplish, nor was it what I had been told. So I excused myself from the movie," Shafali Shah told., adding that she hasn't really seen Rangeela yet.
Ram Gopal Varma directed Rangeela, which was a huge box office hit. Shefali Shah followed Rangeela with the role of Pyari Mhatre in Satya, for which she won the Star Screen Award for Best Supporting Actress. "Satya happened because of Rangeela," Shefali explained.
