Uri: The Surgical Strike, starring Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam, celebrated its three-year anniversary today, January 11. On the occasion, the stars shared old photos and conveyed their gratitude for the film.

Vicky Kaushal was on the verge of rejecting Uri, but his father persuaded him to read the script again. We're delighted Vicky went ahead with the endeavour, and the actor is grateful as well. Uri earned him his first National Film Award.

The action picture is especially meaningful to Yami Gautam, who is now married to Uri director Aditya Dhar. With a beautiful post, the actress also honoured three years of Uri. "Countless memories & profound gratitude #3yearsofurithesurgicalstrike (sic)," she posted beside a collection of images from the film.
Uri is based on an Indian Army surgical strike on Pakistani terrorist camps in retaliation for an attack on an Army camp in Uri, Jammu and Kashmir.
