A guy allegedly set fire to a bank in the Haveri neighborhood on Sunday after being denied a loan application.
The accused, according to the authorities, approached the bank in search of a loan. However, after reviewing his documents, the bank declined his loan application. The bank rejected his application as his CIBIL score was low.
The accused went to the bank branch on Sunday night, enraged by the denial. He then shattered a window, poured gasoline all over the workplace, and set it on fire. The smoke was observed by passers-by, who alerted the police and fire agencies. According to India Today, the fire caused Rs 12 lakh in damage.
According to the police, the culprit has been apprehended and a case has been filed at the Kaginelli police station under Sections 436, 477, and 435 of the Indian Penal Code.
